The original Christmas Tree I-Vee Intravenous Watering System that injects water directly into the heart of the Christmas tree through two 1/2″ holes drilled into the side of the trunk about 10″ above the cut end of the tree. This is a “life support system”; it cannot bring a dead Christmas tree back to life. The double yoked Flow Plugs supply water for trunks bigger than 4″. Simply drill two holes that intersect about 10″ from the bottom of the trunk. A gallon jug is placed on a box or small table so that the bottom of the bottle is higher than the hole to create a simple siphon for the water from the gallon jug. 5 feet of vinyl tubing and a convenient shut-off clamp is supplied for easy refilling. The water needs of the tree can easily be monitored by the level of water in the jug but the jug can be disguised as a gift. After inital setup the tubing can be transferred to a larger container to insure a continuous water supply when away for several days. The Christmas Tree I-V keeps open bowls of water away from children and pets. The Christmas Tree I-V can be installed even after the tree is fully decorated. It is recommended that a stand with a reservoir be used to prevent spills.
